Are there any truly phenomenal benefits to physical fitness?
You bet there are!
But they have more to do with your ability to work hard at creating more muscle than the excess fat that’s been haunting you for years.
As you are reading every line of this article you are beginning to plant firmly in your head that the problem is not the excess fat laying claim to your body. In fact, it is your lack of athletically trained muscle.
You’ve heard this one before, but it’s worth repeating. When muscle gives away to fat, it not only does the actual quantity of muscle decrease, but also it decreases the need for calories.
I’m sure you can guess what happens next.
The chemistry of the remaining muscle changes in such a way that it requires fewer calories.
As you start to work out, you will decrease the your weight, but you will not increase the amount of muscle or reverse the badly altered chemistry of the muscles.
Let me switch gears here for a minute. What dieting does is hammer to a pulp the subcutaneous fat first. And, no matter what you do, only in the most extreme of circumstances can you burn off intramuscular fat.
But the problem here is disappointing results. You can feel overwhelmed because there is nothing to prevent you from getting fat all over again.
The simple truth of the matter is a well-exercised body seems to respond more quickly and with less muscle loss to the stress of dieting.
And if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times…the benefits of physical fitness go hand in glove as the ultimate cure for obesity – EXERCISE!
Let me share a secret with you…the most effective form of exercise for the purpose of burning off body fat is aerobic exercise. Plain and simple.
In short, aerobic exercise means steady exercise, with uninterrupted output from your muscles for a minimum of twelve minutes.
Stated a little differently if you want to kick your weight loss into high gear and make your muscles lean while removing the mountain of fat, you have to replace that fat with muscle.
Don’t get me wrong here…I’m talking about bulky-over-the-top–muscles. It simply means making lean again the muscle you already have.
Here’s something else you probably don’t know. As your muscles get leaner, your metabolism will increase automatically. And, you’ll burn more calories without even knowing it.
The bottom line is the benefits of physical fitness are second to none.
I wonder how quickly you will get fit and stay fit?
Can you see clearly now?
