McDonald’s Nutrition: Have a Healthy Meal With Our New Food Items

McDonald’s nutrition guidance has come a long way over the past several years. This is mainly due to adopting a healthier you attitude by adding such nutritious meals as a variety of salads, yogurt and granola, along with fresh fruit and many other healthy meal items. They are no longer a hamburger or cheeseburger joint that you may remember from 10 years ago.

Not only have they added the above items to the menu, but they have also change the type of beef they use in quality of meat in their hamburgers. The new meat has a lower fat content which obviously then lowers the overall grams of fat you would consume by eating one of these tasty burgers.

Any other fried foods such as French fries for instance, or their apple pies are actually healthier now because they are fried in a more healthy oil. This dramatically decreases the trans fat gram content that they once had. This also transfers over to the grams of fat you would consume by eating these products.

In a move to attract a different clientele on top of those who already come for the tasty hamburgers and cheeseburgers, McDonald’s look to pull him that part of their communities that were into a healthier lifestyle. Not only now do people look forward to eating at this fast food eating establishment for a tasty burger but also for a nice chicken salad.

This is a great way to also show your children that they can still eat at their favorite fast food restaurant chain and be able to also eat a healthy meal. If you are on the move whether driving between appointments for work or while traveling on a family trip this is also a great opportunity to introduce these healthy meals to your family rather than eating a fat laden meal in sitting in your car for hours on end.

When entering all of the McDonald’s today you will see on either side of the cash registers a placard which lists the nutritional values of all of the food items that they sell. This includes the grams of fat, protein in Khyber hydrates along with total calories. This is a great tool to use when trying to decide what to eat. Depending on the type of diet you are trying to follow you can easily determine what food items are higher in protein or carbohydrates and then decide which is the better choice for your meal plan.
